Hydrophilic polyacrylamide gel (PAAG) is not FDA-approved in the United States but has been used as a permanent filler for cosmetic uses around the world for several decades. Complications from the injectable gel are cited by many articles and case reports. Our triple-board-certified cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Karlinsky-Bellini, published the case report below after a 54-year-old woman sought help from New Look New Life Cosmetic Surgical Arts in 2017 to remove the injected polyacrylamide gel in favor of silicone implant breast augmentation. The practice of cosmetic surgery has made huge strides over the past decade, allowing surgeons to provide more natural, aesthetically-pleasing, and elegant results than ever before. However, no matter how advanced the technology or how sophisticated the surgical techniques may become, nothing can replace the artistic eye and skill of a talented facial plastic surgeon. Simply put, not all surgeons are created equal. This is rarely more apparent than in the case of rhinoplasty (commonly known as a “nose job”). More »Next Page »

If you’re looking to trim your stomach fat, pinch your waist, or otherwise enhance your body contour as we move into the new year, you’ve probably looked into cosmetic surgery. Two procedures that people are often confused about are tummy tuck and liposuction. It can be difficult to know which procedure you need, as on the surface they perform the same task of reducing fat in order to create a better body shape.
Breast augmentation is the single most popular plastic surgery procedure in America. It can help improve the size and shape of your breasts, creating a more shapely figure that is nicely symmetrical and well-proportioned.
Typically, breast augmentation does not involve the nipples. However, many women are bothered by inverted nipples. If you have nipples that dip inwards at the center, we can perform inverted nipple surgery to correct the shape of your nipples at the same time as your breast augmentation.
If you are ready to take the first step towards the beautiful, feminine figure you’ve always wanted, contact NYC plastic surgeon Dr. Karlinsky at New Look New Life by calling 646-559-2854 today.
Do You Have Inverted Nipples?
Inverted nipples are normal, with up to 10% of women having at least one inverted nipple. If you’ve always had inverted nipples, it’s nothing to worry about medically, although it might cause self-consciousness or embarrassment in situations where others may see your nipples. However, if you notice a change from a regular nipple to an inverted nipple, see a doctor just in case.
Inverted nipples are either flat against the areola, or sink inwards instead of protruding outwards. There are different grades of nipple inversion, progressing from mild to severe. During your consultation, we can assess your nipples and let you know if you are a candidate for surgery to correct your inversion.
Why Have Inverted Nipple Surgery with Breast Augmentation?
Nipple correction surgery is a fairly simple procedure with immediately visible results and very little downtime. If you are planning to have breast augmentation surgery and want to correct your nipples at the same time, it makes sense to have both procedures done at once.
Benefits of breast augmentation with nipple correction surgery include:
- Larger yet still natural looking breasts
- Beautifully erect nipples that complement your new breasts
- Symmetrical, nicely shaped breasts with symmetrical, nicely shaped nipples
Beautiful breasts deserve beautiful nipples, and our patients find that nipple correction surgery with their breast augmentation lifts their self-confidence and enhances their overall quality of life. Most patients with inverted nipples who opt for corrective surgery are very satisfied with their decision.
Cost of Nipple Correction Surgery with Breast Augmentation
The cost of your inverted nipple surgery with breast augmentation will vary depending on a number of factors, including the degree of your nipple inversion and the complexity of your procedure. We will be happy to provide you an exact quote during your consultation.
We know that cosmetic surgery can be a large expense, so we provide financing plans to help each of our patients fit their surgery into their budget. We accept CareCredit and United Medical Credit, both of which provide flexible options with low to no APR plans. We can help you decide on the plan that works best with your budget and lifestyle, and help you apply if needed.

Sculptra® is a unique filler that gradually restores volume to the face by encouraging your skin’s natural production of its own building blocks. Dr. Karlinsky-Bellini, our very own Board Certified Cosmetic Surgeon, took the time to answer a few of the questions that she most often hears from our New York City patients.

When we think about skin-rejuvenation treatments that encourage younger, healthier-looking skin, we tend to focus on the complexion of our face. Yet, as many of our New York City patients know all too well, the wear and tear of their aging skin is not exclusive to their faces. The neck, chest, arms, and hands are also susceptible to the unfortunate effects of aging. More »
