VascuTouch

Radio Frequency Oblation

What is VascuTouch?

VascuTouch is a quick, effective and cosmetic treatment offered in our office to treat, Spider veins, Cherry Angiomas, Milia, Skin tags, Broken Capillaries, Vascular Blemishes/Legions and more. VascuTouch produces effective results with out any pain, scarring or bruising. The treatment is non-invasive and patients may feel minimum discomfort, but topical or injectable anesthesia is an option for patients. How does it work? A sterile probe is used and low levels of radio frequency are passed through the probe to the vessel. Vessels are then clotted or sealed and the blood flow stops (Electro coagulation), removing most blemishes in seconds. With proper after care, vessels will naturally absorb into surrounding tissues and you will see the best results. Electro coagulation is completely safe and has been used as a treatment for years. Don’t wait to treat those minor skin imperfections and try VascuTouch today!

Spider Veins – are mild manifestation of venous insufficiency (similar to varicose veins) but smaller. They are tiny vessels under the skins surface that resemble spider webs or tree branches.

• APPEARANCE: Red, blue or purple in color and occur generally on the face, thighs, and lower legs.

• Caused by Venous Reflux; which is a medical condition affecting the circulation of blood. The tiny valves that normally force blood back up towards the heart no longer function, causing blood to pool up in the legs or face.

• Considered a cosmetic treatment and isn’t covered by any insurance unless there is an underlying condition.

• Risk Factors include;  Pregnancy, Age, Hormonal changes, Heredity, Obesity, Standing for long periods, Sun exposure, Fair skinned people, and injuries to the skin.

Cherry Angiomas – is a colored benign skin tumor that appears on the skin made up of clusters of dilated capillaries. No one knows exactly what causes them. Most frequent after the age of 40.

• APPEARANCE: Cherry-red or purple. Some may be as small as a pinhead and do not bulge out of the skin, while others protrude over the surface of the skin.

• They are painless and harmless but many people want them removed for cosmetic reasons.
• Large angiomas can excessively bleed when injured but never removed an angioma yourself.

Milia – Occurs when dead skin becomes trapped in small pockets at the surface of the skin.

• APPEARANCE: Whitish pearly bump on or around a person’s chin, nose, cheeks or forehead.

• Can appear at any age.

• Causes: using heavy, oily skin care products, overexposure to the sun, some skin disorders, disruption of the sweat glands may also be at fault and simply because of genetics.

Skin Tags - Skin tags are common harmless benign skin growths.

• APPEARANCE: a small piece of soft hanging skin.

• Skin tags typically occur locations such as, the base of the neck, underarms, eyelids, groin folds, and under the breasts

• More than half of the general population is reported to have skin tags at some time in their lives.

• Except for the cosmetic appearance, they essentially cause no physical pain or discomfort.

• Skin tags that have changed color or bleed may require your doctor’s evaluation and reassurance.
