A mini facelift is often the best choice for patients who are just beginning to see sagging around the mouth and jawline (that facial injectables can’t improve) and a “gaunt” look in the cheeks that could be restored to a more youthful fullness. It is a less invasive procedure than a traditional facelift and can prolong or even eliminate the need for one. The results of a mini facelift are visible right away and allow patients to enjoy a fresher and more natural appearance in the lower face, jowls and neck.
During a mini facelift, there is no need for general anesthesia; in fact, local anesthesia is preferred, as it involves fewer risks to patient safety. The procedure takes one to two hours and is conducted onsite at New Look New Life Surgical Arts. In mini facelift surgery, the skin is lifted while the underlying muscles and tissues are tightened and excess fat is removed, using a smaller incision than in a traditional facelift. Post-operation, patients can return home a few hours after resting in comfort at our offices.
