Fixing and “Cleaning Up” Past Results
Some of our patients come to us dissatisfied with the results of the breast augmentation surgery performed at other practices. The unhappiness may arise from the implant shape, size, or placement or because of a post-surgical complication such as wrinkling, implant displacement, capsular contracture (hardening around the implant) or symmastia (implants drift together).
We can correct these errors and help patients enjoy the fuller breasts they had hoped for before their original surgery with revision breast augmentation.
What Does Breast Revision Surgery Involve?
Deciding on which surgical techniques to use in breast revision requires a thorough consultation with Dr. Karlinsky, since every case is unique. Breast revision surgery generally involves a combination of techniques, which may include those employed in breast lift surgery, fat transfer, and/or breast augmentation surgery.
