Liposuction has always been known for eliminating body fat but a new study has been conducted by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons that it may do more than just that. The level of triglycerides which are chemical formations of animal & vegetable fat, cholesterol and white blood cells which are associated with heart attacks, obesity, strokes and hypertension in the body, may be reduced thanks to the cosmetic procedure, Liposuction. A significant number of people that have undergone Liposuction have shown to become somewhat healthier people after the procedure due to the removal of fat, resulting in lower numbers of triglycerides and white blood cells. Liposuction not only enhances our body but may improve our cardiovascular and metabolic health due to partial removal of these chemicals and fat.
Although, more research is being done to definite these studies, at New Look New Life Surgical Arts we believe that Liposuction, like many other cosmetic procedures help motivate patients to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Establishing a healthy diet and following a routine of exercise is always the way to start!
